Email Houston Mayor: Don’t bully the pulpit!
By now you’ve probably heard about the First Amendment religious liberty threat that surfaced in our nation’s 4th largest city, Houston.
If not, here’s a quick synopsis:
- The City of Houston passed a law that would allow men who identify as women to use the restrooms of their choice.
- The pastors assisted efforts to garner signatures for a petition to vote on the law and issue a lawsuit.
- The City of Houston threw out the petition.
- The city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding a group of pastors turn over any messages dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayor. And those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court.
We encourage you to sign the petition below which will also email the Mayor of Houston, Annise Parker, with a short message, and let her know the intimidation of pastors is repugnant and will not work!
