The entire elections team at The FAMiLY Leader has been blessed to have great meetings with donors, supporters, and other voters regarding our hardworking pro-life and pro-family candidates, who are fighting for Iowa families—such as Zach Lahn for Governor, Ashley Hinson for U.S. Senate, those running for Congress and statewide office, and the men and women running up and down the ballot on November 3.
Even so, this is a tough electoral climate for our friends, and good conversations will not be enough if people of faith stay home.
That is why there is a real need for the church to get educated and get out and vote. We don’t want to go back to the bad old days of pro-abortion legislators, governors, and judges. Iowa’s future for protecting life, family, parental rights, and the freedom to live our faith in public will be decided in these races. Pastors and parishioners should treat the ballot box as part of their calling. And if the church sits this one out, the elections will not go well, because those who would take our communities backwards will not.
