Bob Vander Plaats Calls for Immediate Defunding of Planned Parenthood
DES MOINES, IA – Bob Vander Plaats, President and CEO of The FAMiLY Leader, is calling on Congress and the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) to take immediate action in defunding Planned Parenthood, a notorious abortion provider and distributor of transgender hormone treatments.
“Americans overwhelmingly support President Trump’s efforts to eliminate waste and woke spending from the federal budget,” Vander Plaats stated. “It is unconscionable that our government continues to send $700 million annually to an organization responsible for the deaths of 400,000 unborn children each year.”
A coalition of conservative organizations, including The FAMiLY Leader, is encouraging OMB Director Russ Vought to cut all federal funding to Planned Parenthood.
“This is not healthcare; it is ideological profiteering at the expense of unborn children,” said Vander Plaats. “The FAMiLY Leader stands with the millions of Americans who demand an end to taxpayer-funded abortion.”
Vander Plaats, often called the “kingmaker of the Iowa caucuses,” is sending a clear message to 2028 GOP presidential contenders: Iowa voters expect decisive action. “Defund Planned Parenthood NOW. The pro-life movement won’t accept anything less.”
