Overview
This position is responsible for maintaining existing relationships with pastors, as well as building relationships with new pastors and bringing them into the Church Ambassador Network. The Regional Coordinator – Eastern Iowa will be responsible for engaging pastors in the entirety of CAN’s mission, including Shepherd-to-Shepherd ministry, Church and State Partnership and Raising and Electing ministers of God. This is a full-time, office-based position located in Des Moines, Iowa.
Specific Responsibilities
- Regularly engage pastors within the network, guiding them toward their next step of engagement in advancing the mission
- Collaborate with the Director of Church Engagement to identify potential pastors and discern the most effective pathways for their engagement.
- Recruit new pastors by clearly casting vision and inviting them to join the network.
- Travel regularly to key cities in Eastern Iowa – Cedar Rapids, Davenport, Iowa City, Waterloo, Cedar Falls, Dubuque, and other regions – to recruit and engage pastors.
- Schedule and lead Shepherd-to-Shepherd meetings with pastors at the State Capitol during the legislative session and in-district during the off-session.
- Inform pastors of equipping tools offered by the Church Ambassador Network, including election-season resources.
- Assist Director in Church-State partnerships by recruiting and engaging pastors for Breaking Bondage tours and identifying potential counties for future tours.
- Invite pastors to ministry events.
- Update database with current pastor and church information.
- Participate in additional ministry projects as assigned.
