Unelected bureaucrats undermined President Trump after his first election in 2016. Today, unelected judges are doing the same.
BIG IDEA: Trump needs to act on judges.
1. UNELECTED JUDGES ARE OVERRIDING THE PEOPLE
Judges are taking political stands to nullify Trump’s agenda. This is even more dangerous than bureaucrats, who can be fired. These judges are counting on America to simply surrender to their rule.
2. BUT IN IOWA, THE PEOPLE PUSHED BACK
For decades, law schools have taught judges they can make law. But in 2010 – after the Iowa Supreme Court overruled the actual lawmakers in Congress – Iowa voters made history. They removed three judges from office.
3. TRUMP NEEDS TO HOLD THE JUDICIAL BRANCH IN CHECK
Today’s Congress is too divided to hold the judicial branch in check. But the executive branch can. Trump has the Constitutional authority to remind the judges they are the weakest, not the strongest, branch of government.
